Set in a tranquil orchard at Endeavour Inlet, Queen Charlotte Eco-Camp (formally Miner's Camp) is an ideal night 1 or final stop on the Queen Charlotte Track from Ship Cove—easy to reach by foot, bike, or water taxi, and perfect for relaxing and refueling. There are 2 additional tracks, orchards, jetty jumping into the ocean and with exciting upgrades below coming in 2026. The perfect blend of nature, tranquility, and warm hospitality – right on the Queen Charlotte Track.
Accommodation
We offer Yurts, a Premium Cabin and Tent Sites right on the Queen Charlotte Track.
Facilities
A perfect Stop on the Queen Charlotte Track, our site offers a DOC toilet, cold drinking/cooking water, and a basic kitchen with a stove and essentials. Please use water and cleaning supplies sparingly, and note that no rubbish or organic waste disposal is available – you'll need to carry out everything you bring in.

Walking the Queen Charlotte Track
Day 1 – Ship Cove to Endeavour Inlet (4 hours). Stay with us at Queen Charlotte Eco-Camp.
Day 2 – Queen Charlotte Eco-Camp to Punga Cove Resort or Endeavour Heights or treat yourselves to Mahana Lodge (3-3.5 hours), or Ngahere Hou for an eco treat (around 5 hours).
Day 3 – Punga Cove accommodations providers to Torea (8 hours). Tree Tops is a backpacker bed-type accommodation with self-catering. The Portage has the local restaurant and is a higher end accommodation provider.
Day 4 – Torea to Anakiwa (8 hours) or Torea to Mistletoe Bay (4 hours). Mistletoe Bay camp has budget camping and cabins or try Te Mahia.
Day 5 – Mistletoe Bay to Anakiwa (4 hours).
Group Outings
If you have a small group, school outing, or family get together, we can coordinate your entire stay including overnight accommodations, volunteer activities and food!

Day 1 - Hike or Bike Ships Cove to Eco-Camp (3 Hours Hiking)
Day 2 – Volunteer Project & Ocean Inlet Education (2-4 Hours)
Day 2 - Community Dinner with our New Zealand favorites
Day 3 – Hike or Bike Eco Camp to Punga Cove (3-4 hours).
